Goey Charles, 33, of Rochelle Court in Uniondale, was convicted by a jury on Nov. 14 of murder in the second degree for killing 29-year-old Vanessa Pierre and abandoning her lifeless body on a sidewalk. Nov. 27, 2023 By Bill Parry Police from the 111th Precinct in Bayside are looking for a man who burglarized a Bell Boulevard restaurant in broad daylight just blocks away from the station house last week. The suspect entered Laterna Estiatorio & Catering, located at 47-20 Bell Blvd. in Bayside, five blocks south of Northern Boulevard, through a backdoor just before 4 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 22. Once inside, he removed approximately $60 in cash, credit cards and personal items before running out of the eatery in an unknown direction, police said.
