The police are looking for the driver of a black SUV who was allegedly firing shots at parked cars in Whitestone during the early hours Thursday morning—with some shots flying into a house.

The NYPD released footage Saturday of the vehicle the suspect was driving at around 1:20 a.m. on Sept. 30 in hopes of nabbing the perpetrator.

The driver allegedly fired shots at a 2007 Jeep Wrangler that was parked at 15th Drive and 149th Street, before going on to discharge a firearm at a 2007 Chevrolet Express 1500 van, which was parked at 154 Street and 21 Street.

The suspect went on to fire shots at two other vehicles, including a 2020 Toyota Sienna (yellow cab), which was parked at 154 Street and 22 Avenue, and a 2022 Chevrolet Silverado, which was parked in front of 146-41 20 Road.

The shots fired at the Chevrolet also traveled into a house at that location, where three people were sleeping. There were no injuries reported.

Anyone with information in regard to these incidents is asked to call the NYPD’s Crime Stoppers Hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477) or for Spanish, 1-888-57-PISTA (74782).
