Police precincts throughout Queens and across the city will celebrate the annual National Night Out Against Crime Tuesday evening.
Each precinct in Queens has an event planned where police officers will join residents to celebrate the neighborhood that they serve.
Residents will get a chance to meet personnel from local police precincts. The NYPD hopes the event will help cops improve their relationship with the public—and in doing so help combat crime.
Many precincts will be offering free food, music, bounce houses, face painting and games.
