Mar. 21, 2024 By Iryna Shkurhan Whitestone teenager Vasilios Golias was found dead in his Whitestone home on Wednesday morning.  Police officers responded to a 911 call at 8:30 a.m. regarding an unconscious teen. The responding officers and EMS found the 17-year-old not breathing and unresponsive upon arrival.  Officials declared him dead on the scene and began carrying out an investigation into the cause of his death, which is currently underway.  Council Member Vickie Paladino, who represents the area, shared additional information about the incident on her official X account. The neighborhoods included South Astoria, Maspeth, Old Astoria, Long Island City and Kew Gardens Hills.
