During the 28-day period from Jan. 29 to Feb. 25, the number of felony assaults reported increased 9.6% in northern Queens, from 197 incidents last year to 216 this year. The suspect entered Laterna Estiatorio & Catering, located at 47-20 Bell Blvd. in Bayside, five blocks south of Northern Boulevard, through a backdoor just before 4 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 22.
